Bond Snippet is a gift from Heaven for me. I would like to thank Mr. Moody Bond and his wonderful family in Lavonia, GA for the opportunity to own this wonderful horse.
Early in 1985, we loaded Snippet into the trailer to make his journey to his new home in Longview, TX. Little did anyone know what would be in store for this beautiful stallion. With 90 days of very intense and hard work, Snippet was loaded into the trailer once again to go to his first shows. In one trip, he was shown at Dallas, the Missouri State Fair, The Julip Cup in Lexington, KY, and Denton, TX. Snippet returned to the farm as the undefeated champion from all his first shows. And that was only the beginning... In less than 2 years, Snippet became the "WINNINGEST HORSE" in AMHA history with 62 shows to his credit. Snippet's heart, determination, and consistency were undeniable!
Words cannot describe what this horse means to me and the privilege I felt everytime I led him in the show ring. Snippet is the sire of now over 100 foals...many of them being World Champions to their own credit as well as being World Champion Producers. We were honored by Breyer Animal Creations, maker of the much loved Breyer Collectible Horses, when they chose Snippet to be the first ever miniature stallion to do a model of.
I feel certain not very many horses play such an important role in one person's life as Snippet has in mine. After having Snippet with me for over 20 years...I look around Modern Miniatures at all Snippet has made possible for me.
I believe God gives you one truly great horse in a lifetime who surpasses all the others. Bond Snippet is most definitely my one red rose... |
